When prohibition pushed psychedelics into the shadows, blotter emerged as the people's medium — easy to mail, impossible to confiscate in bulk, and open enough that artists could encode their visions into every grid.
What began as a practical necessity evolved into one of the most distinctive art forms of the 20th century. Blotter art — intricate designs printed on perforated sheets of absorbent paper — became a canvas for some of the counterculture's most visionary artists.
Today, blotter art is collected for its cultural significance, its aesthetic beauty, and its place at the intersection of art, science, and social history. Every sheet tells a story. Every perforation is a unit of potential.
We curate and commission blotter art from established and emerging artists worldwide. Each piece is printed on high-quality perforated paper in varying sizes and shipped flat to preserve every detail.
Magic Ink Program
Some pieces in our collection are available with our proprietary Magic Ink — a carefully formulated mixture of alcohol-based food dye and 1P-LSD (1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide).
1P-LSD is not a scheduled substance under the Dutch Opium Act (Opiumwet), nor does it fall under the NPS groups banned under List IA (effective July 2025), which cover only phenethylamines, synthetic cannabinoids, and fentanyl-like substances. As a commodity sold within the Netherlands, this is fully compliant with Dutch law.
Magic Ink items ship exclusively within the Netherlands. Art print versions of the same designs are available for worldwide shipping.

Artist-First Philosophy
Every piece in our collection is backed by a formal IP licensing agreement. Artists retain full ownership of their creative work — we license the right to reproduce their designs on our archival perforated sheets. Artists receive royalties on every sale.

Who we share it with
Only the categories of partner that help us run the shop. Each is a separate processor working under a written processing agreement and their own privacy terms:
Payment processors — Stripe (cards, iDEAL, SEPA) and CoinGate (crypto, when launched).
Logistics — SendCloud and the carrier handling your shipment.
Transactional email — Resend, for order confirmations and shipping updates.
Hosting — our VPS provider in the Netherlands.
We do not share your data with anyone else. We do not sell it.
Where your data lives
Hosting and email run inside the EU. SendCloud and CoinGate operate from the EU. Stripe is US-based and may process limited payment data outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing an adequate level of protection.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
Customer support email: up to 2 years.
Server logs: up to 30 days.
Anything else: deleted as soon as it has served its purpose.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
Show you what we hold (access).
Fix anything wrong (rectification).
Delete your data, where the law allows it (erasure).
Send your data to another provider in a portable format (portability).
Stop using it for a particular purpose (objection or restriction).
Withdraw any consent you previously gave, at any time.

If you think we have got something wrong, you can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

The contract
A contract is formed when we send you the order confirmation email — not when you click "Pay". Until then, we can decline an order, refund you in full, and explain why.
Prices and payment
All prices are in EUR.
VAT is included where applicable.
We accept cards, iDEAL and SEPA through Stripe. Crypto (BTC, ETH, USDC) through CoinGate, coming soon.
Title to the goods passes to you on full payment.
Risk passes to you on delivery.
The art
We sell two product types:
Art Print — pure paper art. Perforated, signed, numbered. No controlled substances. Ships worldwide.
Magic Ink — the same designs, but applied with our proprietary mixture of alcohol-based food dye and 1P-LSD. Ships only within the Netherlands.
Magic Ink — legal basis

Magic Ink — specific terms
You must be 18 or older. You confirm your age at checkout.
Delivery is to Dutch addresses only.
For personal use. No resale.
No export. You may not take or send Magic Ink outside the Netherlands.
The right of withdrawal does not apply once Magic Ink has shipped (see Returns & Refunds).
Intellectual property
Artists retain ownership of their designs. Psychedelic Gallery licenses each design for reproduction on perforated paper and pays royalties to the artist on every sale. When you buy a piece, you own the physical object — not the copyright.
Liability
We are liable for direct losses caused by our fault, up to the value of your order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, except where Dutch law says otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — strikes, customs holds, severe weather, war, network outages.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, email info@psychedelic.gallery first. We respond within 14 days. If we cannot resolve it together, you can take the matter to:

The Consumentenbond, ACM ConsuWijzer, or your local court.
The European Online Dispute Resolution Platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025, so we no longer link to it.
Governing law and jurisdiction
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Amsterdam, unless mandatory consumer protection rules give you a different right.
Severability
If any clause is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

Returns & Refunds

If something is wrong, we want to make it right. The rules below tell you how.
Art Prints — 14-day cooling-off
Under Article 6:230o of the Dutch Civil Code, you can return Art Prints within 14 days of delivery. No reason needed.
Email info@psychedelic.gallery to start a return. Include your order number.
Or use our Withdrawal Button (from 19 June 2026) to declare withdrawal in two clicks. We will confirm by email.
Or use the EU Model Withdrawal Form — available on request from info@psychedelic.gallery.
Send the print back in its original condition and packaging within 14 days of telling us.
Return shipping is at your cost, unless the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong piece.
We refund the full purchase price, including original standard shipping, to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the return (or evidence that you have sent it back).
Magic Ink — no right of withdrawal
Magic Ink is excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal. It is a sealed, hygiene-sensitive product that cannot be returned safely once unsealed. This exception is permitted under Article 6:230p (f) of the Dutch Civil Code — sealed goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and which have been unsealed after delivery.
Once Magic Ink has shipped, it cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded — unless it arrives defective or damaged in transit (see below).
Damaged or defective items
Both Art Prints and Magic Ink are covered if they arrive in poor shape.
Take clear photos of the package and the contents as soon as you open it.
Email info@psychedelic.gallery within 7 days of delivery, with the photos and your order number.
We will replace the piece or refund you. Your choice.
Lost in transit
Every shipment is tracked. If your tracking goes quiet for more than 7 days past the expected delivery window, email us. We will open a claim with the carrier and replace or refund the order if it is genuinely lost.
How refunds reach you
Refunds go back to the original payment method — card, iDEAL, SEPA, or crypto wallet. Bank processing times are out of our hands but usually take 3–10 business days.

Shipping Policy

Every order is tracked, every step. Here is how it works.
Carriers
We ship through SendCloud, which routes your parcel via the best-suited carrier (PostNL, DHL, DPD, and others depending on destination). You receive a tracking link by email as soon as the label is created.
Dispatch time
We dispatch orders within 5 business days of payment.
Netherlands
Flat rate, shown at checkout.
Tracked delivery in 1–3 business days after dispatch.
International — Art Prints only
Rates calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
Tracked delivery in 3–10 business days, depending on country and customs.
Import duties, VAT, and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility. They depend on the destination country and are not collected by us at checkout.
Magic Ink — Netherlands only
Magic Ink ships exclusively within the Netherlands. The product is fully compliant with Dutch law (see Terms & Conditions), but the legal status of 1P-LSD differs across borders. Keeping Magic Ink inside the Netherlands keeps everyone safe — you, us, and the artists.
Risk and title
Once a parcel is handed to the carrier, risk passes to you. Title passes on full payment.
If something goes wrong
Tracking page shows the latest scan from the carrier.
If your parcel is stuck for more than 7 days past the expected delivery window, email info@psychedelic.gallery with your order number.
We will work with the carrier to locate it. If it is genuinely lost, we replace or refund.
